I mean, since when are you earning that? Just now? Argentina has had record inflation since 4 years now. You can’t possibly expect people to believe that in the last 4 years you were all upsy daisy and now you just realizing you poor as fuck?

I cannot find flaws in their logic, blame the guy who just got into power instead of the people that dragged the country to the ground for years

Those people are absolutely to blame. But all the “remedies” Milei is proposing will only make things worse. It’s not like this kind of crap hasn’t been tried before. It has. Many times. And it failed every time.

I cannot argue with that. My issue is really how these posts are trying to paint a [before good, now bad] picture. But fail to mention that the “before” party had been on power for +20 years… I’m not making this up (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kirchnerism). We would be really naive to believe that in only one month of power this man has flipped the switch to shitty mode.

Argentina has been on downfall for YEARS, the only difference is now there is no intention to cover it up. You can argue this guy is crazy and takes extreme measures, but ultimately if going in one direction has brought the country to this state, you can’t blame the guy for trying to steer 180.

Makes total sense don’t you see? You spent 4 years with the same salary, never complained even tho we had record inflation for 4 years straight, and then the government changes and SUDDENLY your eyes open up and you realize “WAIT A MINUTE, I HAVE BEEN POOR AS FUCK FOR THE PAST 4 YEARS!, WHO’S TO BLAME BUT THE NEW GUY WHICH MADE ME REALIZE IT!”

      they don’t see it

Wow, i like the guardian but Milei is NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR 20 YEARS OF NARCO COMMUNISM THAT DESTROYED THE COUNTRY AND SOLD THE PARTS TO CHINA.

This may come as a surprise to you but chopping off your leg because you stubbed your toe is not generally regarded to be good medical practice.

He didn’t do that. He MADE THE OFFICIAL EXCHANGE RATE MORE SIMILAR TO THE STREET RATE.

So it looks like it HALVED in USD.

        BUT IT STAYED THE SAMEEEEEEEEEE

And the answer to that is privatization and gutting the only thing keeping the country stable (the government)? This experiment has been tried, and all the anglosphere nations that did it are still paying for it.

Not true. You are NOT aware of the current and recent situation in Argentina!

INFLATION HAS BEEN OVER 100% PER YEAR FOR MANY YEARS.

nuff said. Fck off tankies. Come live here and THEN comment…

Privatizing your nation is just selling your government to the highest bidder. You think letting China buy up so much of your country was bad before? Wait until privatized government organizations start extracting every possible bit of money from Argentinians.

You already have so little, why give the rest of it away? You’re trading your future for a sandwich.

I don’t like his religious foolery and anti abortion shit.

But that doesn’t mean he’s responsible for this.

They could probably fix that real quick if instead of standing in the street, they went in and dragged him out and put him on the gallows.
