Whooooo would have thought that we would have our first baby intake at the Raptor Center in January?! Take a look at this adorable youngster. She’s a young barn owl who wandered a bit far from her nest and was picked up in the middle of a snowy corn field. Thankfully she appears to be unhurt and we are quite hopeful that we wil find her nest with a search of the nearby barn structures. We would like to extend our thanks to anyone who steps up to help wildlife in need. We cannot do it alone!
Oh, Glen Helen is lovely I’ve always heard that the raptor center does really good work with rehabilitation. Hope they can find and return her to her nest with as little disruption as possible.
I love when your guys are familiar with a place I share things from! I learned about Glen Helen doing my 50 States of Owls, and they do a lot of updates on their feed, so they come up often.
It looks beautiful there, and they have lots of public events. I’d really like to visit one day.
