AI robots could play future role as companions in care homes

Nadine, a social robot powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) with human-like gestures and expressions, could have an important future role to play in tending to the sick and elderly, according to a professor who helped invent it.

I appreciate the incentive to create robots for the elderly, though I must say, I’ve taken a look at the robot, Nadine, featured in the article and I think she still has the Uncanny Valley effect featured in many humanoid robots.

And Nadine was said to use GPT-3. I wonder if she should use GPT-4 instead, given that GPT-4 can produce json files that can be used for other functions.
