Is there any Lemmy app that has the same comment thread navigation that RiF had? I.e, jumping to different parent comments, jumping back to the root of a thread, etc. That feature alone is the sole reason I stayed on RiF and never moved to another Reddit app. Out of the apps I’ve tried so far, (Jerboa, Thunder, Connect, Liftoff, and wefwef) only Jerboa has a similar comment navigation system, but it’s a lot more limited.

Liftoff is as close to RIF in terms of function I have found so far (especially with the last update adding comment context buttons), but I am also waiting on Boost for Lemmy to launch to compare, as it has a UI a little closer to RIF’s.

None of them have the ability to jump around to top comments like RIF had, but Liftoff does at least seem to want to add those features as they progress, which is another reason I’m sticking with it over Jerboa and Connect ATM.

It’s just the beginning of Lemmy. Things are yet to come and improve. Give it time or try to learn how to code and try to contribute.

Jerboa being very unstable, I “downloaded” the website, I don’t know how to explain it, android treats it as if it was a stand-alone app. For my usecase, it’s similar to RiF, I can’t quite tell if there is some feature missing.

Basically Jerboa you can only move between top level parent comments, but on RiF you could also jump to lower level parent comments, and jump back to the root comment in threads, which was suuuper helpful for when you get deep into a particular thread.
