It’s set in a 1950s-1960s technology level world in a country that resembles post-WW2 Korea/Indonesia. Excellent series.
This has been hovering near the top of my TBR list for a bit.
I describe it as Jackie Chan meets The Godfather. If you left out all the fantasy elements and just read the intrigue and political maneuvering you’d still have a great read.
