Beer in an airport lounge, and no.
Tomorrow it will be beer in a hotel lobby, which is what I’m looking forward to.

Waiting at the first airport right now. There’s no beer here though, as it’s a tiny local airport with only a vending machine. But in about two hours I’ll be landing at a larger regional one. As I’m a very frequent flier this means lounge access and free beer during my three hour wait.

Nothing special. I was headed on a short work trip where a couple of coworkers and I had some minutia to sort out, but I’m back home again now. The trip home was supposed to be quicker, with 30 minutes between the two flights I need between work and home, but the final leg of my flight had to revert back due to weather, so insteaf there were six hours of beer in the airport lounge.

Damn that stinks when your flight is delayed so long.

I’ve never had a job where I’ve traveled for work. Do you like or dislike that aspect of it? It always seemed like it would be kind of fun lol!

I mostly like it: I like seeing new places, and I like visiting distant cities (Kuala Lumpur and Singapore are favorites of mine).

I don’t like flying economy, but I endure it on the shorter flights. On the longer ones I usually pay for a seat upgrade, either out of my own pocket, or with the air miles I’ve accrued. On rare cases the company allows me to book business class on their card, but that’s rare and only for special circumstances.

I do like my coworkers, so whenever I’m going somewhere we usually coordinate the hotel stay together (flights are usually separate, as we live pretty much all over), so it’s usually the same gang meeting in a hotel lobby in some corner of the world.

A colleague of mine at a different office that I went to visit asked me if I wanted tea or coffee. “Surprise me”, I said.

I got earl grey tea, with milk.

I was certainly surprised, and it wasn’t terrible by any means, quite refreshing actually. I did feel like I was violating a handful of international tea-drinking etiquette treaties at the time mind.

Ooh, what kind of tea? Mint is my favorite, but I have a weird mint addiction so I may be biased

Lately Sweet & Spicy, otherwise lemon ginger is nice. :)

I like mint but only rarely do I crave it.

I just finished finished my morning coffee. I wish I was drinking better coffee than this instant stuff, but so far I’ve been too lazy to look into better options

Good coffee is definitely worth it though, when you get the energy to upgrade you won’t regret it!

I don’t know where you’re located, but I like ravens brew coffees and use a pour over maker like a chemex, if you want a suggestion you don’t have to look up 💜

Hot vanilla. You know, like hot chocolate but it’s vanilla. Not a fan, but every other drink on hand were cold drinks, and I craved something warm.

Vodka martini with Dolin dry Vermouth. Lots of crushed ice. Shaken. Poured over green olives stuffed with garlic.

For dinner, either some kombucha I made or some water kefir i made, both carbonated with Welch’s grape juice. Pretty good stuff.

After dinner, 16oz of a hazy juicy ipa I brewed last month.

I also made a bunch of wine so the wife and I have been drinking these https://www.acouplecooks.com/kalimotxo-red-wine-coke/

    Fucking delicious
