This may be dumb, but I have renewed my registration exclusively online for years - even before it was tied to your vehicle inspection.
I am now in a position where I just got my inspection done and need to get the registration. The registration has lapsed so long, I don’t feel like doing it online and waiting for them to mail the sticker.
Can I still just go to a county tax office and get the sticker in person the same day? I know that’s how we used to do it in the olden days, but just wondering if anyone has any recent experience and if that’s still a thing.

I got the answer from a friend. Even if you go in person, they will still have to mail it to you. Guess there was just some wishful thinking on my part thinking I could get the sticker the same day.
