      Well given that the average parking space in Paris is narrow, the wider SUV’s are often taking up two spaces.

      If the driver does manages to squeeze in between the lines, they block access to the vehicles on either side of them. Put 2 or 3 of them next to each other and you’ll need to crawl through the trunk.

      Honestly charging them more just makes sense.

    Very few voters showed up to vote but glad to see they voted against SUVs.Hopefully this will give SUV owners something to think about. In the mean time SUVs will still be driving on, and dangerous for climate and human lives.

      Yep, you’re free to drive everywhere because there’s no infrastructure to support anything but car parks.

      No “we” don’t. I live in a medium-sized city with a compact city center and own a car and I don’t even think surface parking should be a thing.

      Build vertical parking garages that are “free” for 2h or something if you must but there’s no reason we’re wasting space for surface street parking in the most valuable land in the region.
