To me there’s always an ick factor in giving any place that much information about me to do something on my behalf.

What I’d really like is a subscription to the list of 190+ data broker sites so I can run a script myself to check for PII and request removal if found. Bonus if Mozilla provides the script in a format I can review and run.

A neat option would be to randomly fill any information requests every single time it’s asked for.

The browser could just feed every website and service with just constant random information the entire time you’re online.

I want a script that fills in other data brokers’ contact information!

I’ve been interested in a service like this for a while but didn’t want to sign up with an unknown entity like Incogni. I at least somewhat trust Mozilla so I’ll probably end up giving this a whirl.

Can anybody please share your thoughts on what would indicate “getting your money’s worth” or “good value” would be for something like this? Are some much more exposed than others where it makes sense to pay for it? Is it because they continue to remove data whereas for the average person that would be unduly arduous?

They advertise removing data from somewhere around 190 sites. What are the repercussions of missing sites like they claim competitors do? What’s the end result if even the monitor plus service misses some?

How do I know if over time the service goes through “enshitification”?

This interests me, but I lack the savvy to know how it improves my life or if I’ll ever notice a difference. I’d like to know what are reasonable expectations for it.

I think that’s important to underlying that Mozilla is reselling OneRep service. Should we trust them?

Experian offers a similar service. Probably even a better deal than what I’m seeing here.

We should make a site and track all of the people involved with these companies. Cunts
