What a shitty article. That was fuckin embarrassing to read, fuck me mate

Cherry-picking parts of a study to support your narrative is something stoners have been doing since I started smoking in the early 80s

Repeatedly stating that people who smoke before driving are statistically safe, then quoting your source as -

A study published in 2019 concluded that those who drive at the legal THC limit—which is typically between two to five nanograms of THC per milliliter of blood—were statistically no more likely to be involved in an accident than people who hadn’t used marijuana.

Is exactly the same as saying someone who had half a pint of beer was just as unlikely to have an accident

You’re doing more damage to your cause by spouting shite like this

      Further on they clarify……

In a prior study, the researchers also assessed driving ability during a simulation, and notably they found that daily cannabis consumers had an average five times the THC concentration in their blood after the 30-minute mark compared to occasional users—yet the latter group “showed evidence of decrement in their driving skills, whereas that wasn’t statistically significant in the daily users

They aren’t cherry picking anything. They are pointing out the current legislation doesn’t know what the hell they are doing. They specify daily users don’t suffer the same detriment recreation users do, that’s a significant diversion from previous assumptions (passed of as scientific studies).

        showed evidence of decrement

        And

        wasn’t statistically significant

Can be a difference of 0.1 whatever, however you want to skew it

        It’s a toilet-paper article

Who said cannabis fucks up your critical thinking skills lol

The article summarizes multiple different studies that are hyperlinked within……

Feel free to read the studies yourself and educate yourself first if you want to nitpick the information.

For non-daily users, yes it apparently does, and you are currently being a prime example of that, your critical thinking is severely lacking in this article comprehension.

Funny enough this “garbage article” even explains how one isn’t a perfect study since it was relying on people to be honest.

Agreed! I’ve been a smoker for many years now and a driver for fewer years. I can say with 100% certainty that driving while stoned is incredibly dangerous. No one can argue that it doesn’t decrease your awareness and reaction time. All this does is make responsible smokers look bad.

We literally all know this is bullshit. Glad to see people not defending garbage for their own sake.
