I personally think the tattoo would have looked great on his bicep, or (lol) as a trampstamp, but it’s Cody’s trademarked logo, so every time there’s a Cody action figure or a video game appearance, he either gets additional money for the use of his trademark or the licensed product will be less accurate. And clothing doesn’t cover it, so it’s impossible to avoid.
