Another way of saying that ketamine was as effective for depression as ECT, the gold standard of depression treatment, with the “side effects” of dissociation.

Note that this can vary by individual. Ketamine, while lovely, never worked for me because I have the Ozzy Osbourne fast drug metabolism gene, but ECT did the trick.
