… Baby Boomers and Gen Z have something in common that’s often overlooked: Bias is shaping the way we talk about them, allowing stereotypes and myths to drown out facts and reality.

Isn’t this every generation? I know mine has been stereotyped all to hell too.

Yeah, 10 years ago it was “millennials are ruining X”. Every older generation thinks the younger generation is lazy, self absorbed, and rude. Every younger generation thinks the older one is stuck up, stubborn, and resistant to change.

Honestly, Boomers can go kick rocks. Millennials being blamed for years for their missteps was incredibly exhausting. Maybe they should claim responsibility for what lead us here today.

The title is very clickbaity. Why can’t they just say “Baby Boomers and Gen Z have one thing in common: being stereotyped”

And even then, it’s not like gen x or millennials didn’t get stereotyped too. The article is extremely pointless

I don’t think this is anything new. You can find evidence of this going back to at least the silent generation and I’m sure it existed every generation before.

I think what’s changed is that it’s now something that appears in media and especially social media. And of course the labelling (mentioned in the article) that makes it so much easier to stereotype.
