Alexei Navalny’s team, as well as the Russian authorities, have not confirmed the whereabouts of his body

Moscow police detain people at Navalny memorial event

Vladamir Putin believes that he is “untouchable” after years of an iron grip on Russia, the wife of jailed opposition figure Vladimir Kara-Murza has said, as she accused the autocrat of murdering Alexei Navalny.

Speaking to the BBC, Evgenia Kara-Murza said: “All that impunity that lasted for decades has led [Putin] to believe he’s somehow untouchable.”

It comes as an independent Russian newspaper cited an anonymous source claiming that Mr Navalny’s body had been delivered to the Salekhard District Clinical Hospital.

The unnamed source, identified as an experienced paramedic, said the body was bruised and had been transported from the nearby town of Labytnangi.

They turned it over so soon? And all in one piece and at the same time? Not even part of it poisonous or radioactive or possibly in space? Surprising. Seems lazy of the Russians. I expected far more imagination in their casual brutality.

Navalny may very well have been murdered by Putin’s goons. But this particular story is most likely somebody trying to create a viral sensational news for fun or as propaganda. There’s no reason to trust this source.

Why do you need to specify that at all? Makes it sound like you are 100% here to do that

Since it’s so hard for some people to read two sentences together, let me explain my first reply:

Navalny was most likely killed by Putin’s goons. But the story that his body had injuries is most likely someone’s creation - either for fun or as propaganda. It’s not just Russia who indulges in propaganda. It’s naive to think that the other side doesn’t. As for Navalny’s body, there are several ways in which he may have been killed. Even if it was by physical torture, it’s very unlikely that they would have exposed his body to anyone who’s likely to report it to the international media. This story has an emotional angle - it can outrage the readers easily. That’s why I suspect its source.

I can’t believe that people would reach the conclusion that I’m a Putin apologist, rather than the above from my previous reply. I mean, does it take that much intelligence?

if i tell you i’m not the queen of england, does that also set off your spidey senses?

when people tell you who they are, believe them.

Can you believe this? I don’t understand why people can’t put just two sentences together to understand the intent. And then insisting on stuffing words into others’ mouth.
