“Ukrainian soldiers had to ration ammunition due to dwindling supplies,” US President Biden says in pushing for approval of more American aid.
Russia on Sunday said it had complete control of the Ukrainian city of Avdiivka after Kyiv withdrew its forces from the area, in what appeared to be Moscow’s biggest success in nine months.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukrainian commanders had decided to retreat from the besieged city in the face of relentless “meat wave” attacks by Russian troops.
Speaking at at the Munich Security Conference on Saturday, Zelenskyy referred to an “artificial deficit” in ammunition and renewed his calls for faster deliveries of artillery shells and long-range missiles.
U.S. President Joe Biden said “Ukrainian soldiers had to ration ammunition due to dwindling supplies as a result of congressional inaction, resulting in Russia’s first notable gains in months.” Biden called on lawmakers to approve $60 billion in aid to Ukraine that has been held up in the U.S. Congress.

Sharpen your bayonet, it’s about to come closer to home
Before winning the ground war, the first battle that needs to be won is convincing Putin that democratic countries will not get bored/distracted/tired and stop supporting Ukraine. His only strategy right now is to outlast Ukraine’s international support.
RIght now, Republicans in the US are convincing him he was right, and the US and other democracies are about to abandon Ukraine.

Those Republicans are on his payroll. They’re just doing their job.
Don’t know how much they are sending, but Denmark just said they are sending all but their minimum reserves and are stepping up production, and partnering with Germany to do so.
The яepuыiкаи party is a treasonous organization, and an absolute disgrace.
Is Avdiivka a ghost town with no civilians now or does civilians still live (try to survive?) there?
