I wouldn’t even be surprised if mexico fucks this up again. After their game against Qatar, anything is possible.
Putting on my conspiracy hat, I think mexico got paid to throw the game. I have absolutely no proof to backup this claim, but seeing qatar airways sponsorship makes me think more about it. Mexico had their 1st place group finish guaranteed so the loss didn’t affect them, and qatar advances out of group stages.
No need for a conspiracy hat, we (Mexico) kinda shit. Even now, winning against Costa Rica, we haven’t been particularly good lol
