Would anyone be able to help me out? My Pixel 7 Pro broke. Unfortunately, I live in the USA and bought this on a contract lease for 3 years. I’m wanting something similar to it, and the used phone market has plenty of options.

Would anyone be able to compare the speeds of older phones to the G2? I know the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is much faster and more efficient, but how comparable is the 8 Gen 1 to the G2?

If I bought an S22, would I be better off? Would it be the same performance and battery heat issues if I bought an S21?

I’m not sure how the G2 stacks up against the previous flagship Snapdragon chips, and I’m wanting to get a phone that’s at least similar or better (budget permitting lol).

Any suggestions?

That would be worth the money over a 8g1? I know there were overheating concerns and less efficiency, but I didn’t realize it was that drastic of a difference

YES. pls spend the extra money if you can on a 8g2 phone. The 8g1 has multiple issues on every model from poor battery like (regular s22) to over heating cameras (Sony Xperia 1 mk 4). The 8g2 fixes these issues on the successor models like s22 having great battery life and the Xperia 1 mk 5 having no overheating camera issues.

In battery life yeah. Idk in other parts of the phone tho. Because at that point it’s up to preference. Like software and camera.

Which is the problem with Samsung and Google. I love the camera on the Pixel but the extra features of the Galaxy S devices. I can’t have both it seems

Can’t you get a repair of your Pixel? Should be much cheaper than buying a new phone.

The Tensor is fine. It will do everything you need it to except play games on high refresh rate. But that’s a niche case.

It’s more than enough for daily average use. Plus the Pixel photos are much better than the Samsung photos

If you really must upgrade, then I’d recommend the Asus ZenFone 10. Snapdragon 8 gen 2. Or wait until after the Samsung keynote today when they accounce the S24 and the price of the S23 should drop significantly.

From what I gather, the G2 is similar in performance to the Snapdragon 888. Avoid the 8 Gen 1 because of terrible efficiency.

Noted. That’s good to know. I’d be right at home with an 8 Gen 1 since my pixel has plenty of overheating issues
