I’ve used mastodon the most, it’s not too bad. Unfortunately nothing quite like r/Louisville in terms of local activity though. Overall a big fan of the concept of federation though, really hope it takes off.
I’m hoping that this works out for us too! I’m liking Lemmy so far, though.
