Yeah good idea
Same. I think the reason its dead is probably because the jailbreak community isn’t aware of this unfortunately. I might go on r/jailbreak tomorrow and ask people about it so they can still talk and do stuff during the blackout.
If you build it, they will come.
Jailbreaking is kind of niche at this point so it’ll be hard to grow. If something is released like a user oriented iOS 16 jailbreak for more recent devices (eg not palera1n) then maybe interest will drum up again but at that point apple will likely be on iOS 17 already

Not at all, I sincerely hope people start using Lemmy more so both c/Jailbreak and c/Sideloaded become the main alternative to the original subreddits.

The problem is YES nobody knows of this AND it’s similar to the Twitter situation. Nobody knows which alternative is/will be the best. They will definitely evolve with several cool features. I personally don’t know if I’ll stay on Lemmy. I hate change and switching the app every month sounds stupid. We are in a phase where the alternatives are almost equal. I’m mainly talking about kbin. Lemmy already has 2 mobile clients but I think most people are on the phone and with a kbin Client the situation could be entirely different. They are even equally popular I think. And the many server there are… Anyways, too much from me. Guess this will be my Reddit for now.
