    Spoiler: It’s a weather balloon. They made it pink because it was breast cancer awareness month (I don’t fucking know, visibility I guess)

      The Golden Gate Bridge is bright red-orange because that’s the most visible color against the blue sea. I’d assume similar colors are used to contrast against the sky. Much like that (creepy by association) teal that’s used for medical accessories, which contrasts with blood.

      I can’t say that’s going on with this bouncy ball, but painting things a bright color that contrasts with nature is a thing we do.

    Now I wonder if the soccer ball Putin gave to Trump is still in the White House / Smithsonian archives, or if Trump took it.

    IMO It should be in the archives as a badge of shame for the US.
