This is the most polished app I’ve seen yet for Lemmy. It has many features that’s just simply missing on many other Lemmy apps and has a nice interface. It’s also not that buggy from my experience, and doesn’t really crash at all. I might actually be able to ditch my PC to browse Lemmy and moderate my communities now! Thanks for the app, developer!

This is always the right place for compliments 🥰

Let us know how moderating is working out for you as that’s one of our focus areas.

    And thanks for choosing Liftoff!

Hey there, I’ll surely report bugs that I encounter if not already reported!

Edit: It’d be nice if there was a separate view for the number of upvotes and downvotes for posts and comments. I can still see them by going into Nerd Stuff and looking at the counts but a toggle to view them right on the post/comment would be great!

I love it. Stable, functional, clean. Best app for the fediverse. Amazing job!

I’m loving Lift Off! I started with Jerboa, then to Thunder which is a nice app then tried this.

Was previously an Infinity user for Reddit and I feel most comfortable with Lift Off here.

Thanks for the great app, your efforts are really appreciated by us all.

I was also a previous infinity user!! But I’ve switched to connect, feels the most similar to infinity of all the apps I’ve tried. Although I haven’t tried liftoff yet

        I haven’t tried Connect either :-)

Really enjoying Liftoff though and would certainly suggest giving it a go.

Yeah this is pretty advanced compared to the others. The only thing missing that’s keeping me from using this as the main app is the haptic feedback. I kind of need that sensory feedback when I interact with the app.

I’m enjoying this app as well. I’m still learning how to navigate lemmy in general (reddit refugee) but it’s slowly starting to make sense and Liftoff has been a big help. . (Now I just need to figure out how to get my home page to only show what I’m subscribed to)

I like the app, I feel like it is the most functional of the bunch, or a close one, but I don’t like the UI, and it feels slower than others, especially when loading images/comment or when going back a post…

I know these issues are going to get fix in a near future as development is crazy fast though.

It’s my favourite app for Lemmy by a long, long shot!

I’m still wavering between Memmy and Liftoff! Love having so many great options though

How are you moderating communities with the app? I have zero moderation tools available when I am logged in and I am an admin on the instance.

Also I have a second account on the same instance but when I log into that one all my upvotes and subscriptions are identical to my main account. I can’t do anything separately.

I love this app, the UI is nice to me and it’s quick and easy to use. But I need mod tools and for accounts to actually be separate.

Ah yes, I think I didn’t check before but yeah, I don’t have any moderation tools available. It’s probably not the highest priority for the app, but I’m willing to wait. Atleast I can use the Open in browser option and do anything I want from there with the desktop site.

I don’t really have a second account, so maybe I’d guess it’s a bug? That sounds strange to be a feature.

Could you give us a summary of what functions you tend to use, to give us some idea of priorities. I mod here and only ever sticky a post, but other experiences would be useful.

I’ll list almost all of the options with highest to least priority.

          Necessities:

          • Remove comment (with reason), and restore
          • Remove post (with reason), and restore
          • Lock post, and unlock
          • View reports from users on posts and comments (I mean this) - This is probably the hardest to implement but it’s also kind of the most important tool for moderators
          • Ban user from community, and unban

These options are not as important to be present on the app but would still be very nice to have:

          • View modlog of a community - It doesn’t have to be perfect, just something to quickly see what’s going on. This is something anyone can see!
          • Feature/pin a post, and unfeature
          • Ability to edit the community name and sidebar/About section, so you can make quick changes when needed
          • Ability to see these stats (maybe in the About section), so you can see how a community is doing. Anyone can also see these stats too!
          • Appoint user as mod, and remove them as a mod - On the desktop website, you should go to the specific user’s post or comment on your community and select ‘Appoint as mod’ from the options to make them a moderator, which is kind of confusing if you don’t know where to look. Hopefully there’s an easier way to do this, where you can bypass that post or comment to appoint or remove any user as a mod (if possible)

Yes, I have. But I primarily used to browse Reddit on my phone, so it sucked there wasn’t a proper way to use Lemmy on my phone.
