The Starfield preview got me hyped enough to finally cash in a big chunk of my points that I’ve been accumulating since the Series X was released.

If anyone doesn’t use Microsoft Rewards I strongly recommend signing up. It doesn’t take much effort to build them up.

They are slowly nerfing the program so might as well take advantage while it lasts.

Damn, that’s crazy! How much did this cost combined? I only have, like 30€ in points, so I probably have to keep saving up :D

Don’t know about € but in £ it was £114.99 for the headset and £69.99 for the controller.

So £185 in total and each £5 topup costs 5850 points. Works out around 216,450 in total if you don’t have any auto-redeemed credit.

I average at least 400 points per day and don’t claim everything so can easily be done in a couple of years.

I’ve always wanted to get these collector’s items, but then my normal controllers would just go to waste :( I haven’t been able to convince myself to buy it because of that. Your purchase look amazing though!

Yeah completely get that. Wouldn’t have outright purchased them myself if I didnt have points burning a hole in my account.

I think they stand a good chance of holding some value if this game is going to be as good as it looks.

I don’t think you have to worry now as they appear to be sold out.

I tried to buy the controller and couldn’t.

I was thinking the same, would definitely subscribe but don’t think I’d have the time to mod it myself.

I always spend my points as soon as I get to 12,000 for another month of Game Pass. I don’t think I’ll ever spend them on anything else. Free Game Pass is pretty great though, just for doing some Bing searches.

Yeah that’s defitiely the most frugal way of keeping the subscription going, it pays for itself.

I did the gold conversion trick so have a few years of Game Pass stacked for a bargain price. This leaves all the rewards points for games and hardware. I have the £5 auto-redeem on and use it for games on sale. I let the rest of the points build up for hardware purchases.
