    Yes, it was. By pointing out how stupid this notion is, The Simpsons maybe played a role in making pink more acceptable.

    Yes, wearing pink at all was seen as feminine or “gay” at the time. Despite progress being slower than I’d like things have changed a lot.

    I can’t speak for adults at the time, but as a child, I wouldn’t have been caught dead wearing pink, because it was a “girl color”. I don’t know if kids these days still have similar hangups, but kids’ things were hyper-gendered back then, and anything pink was obviously for girls.

      You used to be with it. Then they changed what “it” was. Now what you’re with isn’t it anymore and what’s it seems weird and scary.

    Yeah it was all about those blue or white work shirts with the Dickies slacks. That was a working man’s uniform back then.
