Is there much movement on getting linux working on Apple’s new chip? Is there expectation that it will eventually work?

There’s a small team of people working on Asahi Linux with the main purpose of getting Linux running on Apple silicon. It’s still very much in progress but they’ve made tremendous progress in areas like the graphics drivers to get OpenGL 3.1 working lately. Where they sit with M2 specifically though, I’m not sure.

It’s going to be hilarious when Asahi Linux ends up becoming a better gaming platform for the M1/M2 chips than MacOS.
