This is fine and I’m sure this particular event did happen this particular way, but “businessman” and “sensitive” and the overall bland presentation is understating the urgency of the overall situation to the point of criminal journalistic malpractice.

Trump will continue to live jail-free and with a 1% lifestyle no matter how awful this is or what else comes out. If the past four years have taught me anything, it’s that.

TL;DR: Aussie “businessman” paid outrageous amounts of money (obfuscated as party entrance fees and/or political donations) to get close to Trump at select events wherein Trump would blab about highly classified info to anyone who would listen. Seemingly, this account is only one of many such instances and is emblematic of Trump’s SOP.

“Outrageous” here means “normally you’d pay $1000 or $1500 per person for a party at Mar-a-Lago; this guy was paying $1M per person with a 40-person party.”

I watched this last night, and something that stood out to me that hasn’t been picked up on is that apparently, everyone was instructed to call him “President Trump.” Employee #5 here relates greeting Trump in passing with “Hello, Mr. Trump - er - President Trump.” Even with a bit of eye roll in the inflection.
