lol, yeah, I thought it would be annoying.
Then 50 hours later after killing everything in the starting area and the underdark I finally went into the mountain area and ran into Elminster and he’d had a couple junk items that were barely worth selling. I like the progression of the plot there, but it’s not actually a big deal to gameplay.
Feed him once then abandon him to suffer until elminster shows up. He’s not super useful in act 1 anyway.
I often just don’t bother saving him at the start
Meh, you feed him a couple times and that affliction gets hand-waved away.
