The hijacking of the vocal section of the progressive movement happened after Occupy and quickly went from “the 1%” cry that even many US conservatives were good with to the purity and victim competition of gatekeeping that is the snake eating it’s tail. It was an exclusionary approach then that gifted the Republicans lots of poor white voters and “progressive” kids raised on that radical, divisive version of progressivism are now tearing apart higher education because they mostly only rage and not reason nor understand those they claim to be speaking for.
