And if you haven’t decided to yet, what’s stopping you?

Because typing on Qwerty gives my fingers pain after some hours… :(
I switched last week. The moment I tried it I felt this is a much smoother way to type, but takes some getting used to. Holy moly! Currently training with type-fu, 20 words per minute o_o
For fun. Only on my phone though. Haven’t fully gotten used to it yet. I am only able to type around half the speed I used to. Still getting caught up on G, F, and K. Started on Aug 18th, so about 5 days ago. Also kind of funny that your post was posted on my birthday.
I’m French and got a new job at an international company. I have to use QWERTY but I said to myself “fuck it” and started learning Colemak which is close to QWERTY. I’m still very slow but I’m sure it is for the best.
I noticed that Qwerty was uncomfortably left-hand dominant, and I thought switching to Colemak would lead to a more comfortable typing experience.
It’s been ~9 months since I’ve switched, and I vastly prefer it over Qwerty now. I got a slight speed bump as well (~120 wpm to ~140 wpm). I don’t think the speed bump is typical though, I did a lot of practice on Monkeytype.
