    I watched this again recently after finally reading the short-story it’s based on. Even with the author writing the screenplay, it doesn’t stand up to the original. It’s a smaller story, but that brings the focus on these great characters, especially Molly (aka Jane from the movie). The movie really doesn’t do her character justice. Her climactic fight scene at the end really stands out.

    I’d encourage anybody to track down William Gibson’s “Neuromancer” or “Burning Chrome” (the collection of stories Johnny Mnemonic comes from) if you haven’t read them already.
