I’m considering torpedoing my 14 year old account as well. It’s a shame because I have so many memories wrapped up in it. I’m still holding off for now, but at the end of June I might pull the trigger.

I’m doing my 10 year old account on the 30th, So that hopefully they’ll get a surge of user deletes the same day 3rd party apps shutdown.

I’ve gotta go through my account and bookmarks and save as much useful stuff as I can, post some of it on here. But I’m going to delete soon.

Deleted my 11 year old account a few days ago. I am definitely missing the endless content, but I have replaced it with Lemmy and started reading books again in my Kindle app, so I’d consider it a win overall so far

You’re a better man than I. Not sure what to do with my 13 year old account at this point.

Damn, I’m still hesitating for some reason, my account is 17 years old from 2006. But right now most of the subredits I’ve been reading are private so in practice even if I wanted to use it I can’t ^^

I deletedy 4 accounts yesterday too. Some were 9+ years old.

1 personal used on a regular basis for nearly 7 years, and 3 that were service / product specific (but not actively used in a bit).

I wonder how a dwindling user base will look to investors.

Nine and half year of content gone, account deleted as well. I would say it is crucial to delete the content as well, since it is the content which they need to profit.

For those still deciding, this could help https://github.com/j0be/PowerDeleteSuite to make the process faster.
