Is it possible to add support for gifv when others embed them into a post? Or at least parse the link so that it loads a plain gif or mpg instead?

Gifv embed, so I’ll need an example of it not working
The most recent example changed their post to a regular gif, so I’ll have to keep an eye out.
This is under iOS, btw.
