I got booted off Reddit with my first three day ban on the account >.< for inciting violence, which, yeah OK fine although… But yeah, OK whatever. Anyway, this is the art collection project that I was doing recently. Ended up reaching out to a lot of artists and a couple really great names got back to me and that’s a big chunk of what’s on this post. Behold, two of the top people who show up on Tumblr when you look up prison abolition art. And a really great Comic author who actually followed my blog. So I’m having a great time, and this is kind of more of the direction i was thinking of taking the community anyway.

Great post, awesome that you got consent from all the artists too. Can you post the images here too?
for transparency, not all, just the first 3. Like, one of these is a photograph for a podcast, so I just source the image and didn’t reach out to them. The last one is a painting made in the 1970s, same deal, just listed the source of the photograph of it. I will say, there’s no work from the 4 or so people that I did reach out to who didn’t get back to me, so that’s something. 100% on getting them here, 1 sec. edit: its up. I’m glad i did that. basically the methodology here was I went through the tumblr search hashtag for prison abolition art and when it was posted by the artist who made it, I asked them if I could include it, but secondary sources already sharing someone elses art, I included freely, with a direct link to the source.
