Ruby Franke is a religious extremist. Your mom might’ve called you a son of a bitch sometimes out of frustration. Along with the physical and emotional torture, Franke calling her kids “spawns of Satan” is an indication that she feels it is her spiritual duty to do anything and everything to get rid of the devil in her children, even if that means getting rid of the children. She would have let them die and not felt an ounce of remorse for it.
