This headline reads like an old white man about to rant about woke parenting or something leading to the death of the country
Edit: skimmed the article and it seems like just kids being cluelessly cruel to animals which is nothing new. Let’s blame the kids when parents buy them an animal when they have no idea how to look after one.
Tattletale Times is a satire news website I created, similar to the Onion, but focused on kids and parenting.
Trying to find the website’s voice and it can be hard since when everyone see’s the Onion they automatically know it’s satire. When it’s a newer website with no recognition it’s more difficult.
i used to put Satire in the post names but i got flak for that so just trying out all angles. let me know if you have any suggestions! thanks
For what it’s worth, I could tell it was satire from the title, it’s pretty obvious
I couldn’t. There’s so many ‘psychology’ articles like this.
Just the sentence structure of the title is very oniony
Do you have a hard time with satire in general? I feel like this post is over-the-top in more ways than it isn’t.
No, but I confess I did not read the article. The title looks like any other psychological click-bait.
It’s pretty hard to tell these days when onion is too real and real is too onion. Parenting is a rough topic for this because there are plenty of parenting advice sites and communities that are intended to be real yet are so misguided it almost seems malicious.
You thought Tattletale Times was a real news org? Bruh…
There are people that unironically post stuff like this on social media and people like my facebook-extremist dad drink it up and give weird shit like this as a reason why trump should be president. When people around you are so disconnected from logic and reality it’s harder to tell who is serious or making a joke. Flat earthers and birds aren’t real believers are common in my neighborhood too.
