I remember watching this the week it came out.

Then suddenly BJ Novak stopped appearing on The Office and I immediately went into conspiracy mode.

Nothing actually happened. He was doing other stuff. But I still think it’s eggspiracy.

You bet! They’ve also been making the cardboard tubes in things like toilet paper larger, so it looks like you’re getting the same sized (or even bigger) roll but you’re actually getting less, despite the packaging claiming there’s more right there on the package.

Making the tubes bigger is one thing, but lying about getting more should be a crime

Also I noticed that charmin changed their design of the toilet paper itself where it separates the pieces. It used to be a single dashed line, now it’s a wave form.

I compared it to an old roll I had, and the squares have a slightly less surface area.

So again, we’re paying the same for less.

Way before that, actually. When I was a kid in the 80s they were about the same size as grade A large chicken eggs. They were already noticably smaller by 2007. Don’t even get me started on Doritos.

Back in my day a single dorito was the size of an airplane wing.

I’m slightly pissed about the shrinkage, but really pissed that they don’t come in packages anymore (at least not where I live). It’s bad enough I have to scan my own groceries, but now I have to scan 8-12 individual eggs in a row. What’s next?

I guess they’re an acquired taste, because the one time I tried one I thought they should be way smaller.

The Mini Eggs are superior. (The ones called Mini Eggs, not the smaller cream eggs.)

They updated the FAQ to say:

As the world’s largest confectionery company, Cadbury Schweppes is committed to developing great-tasting products that consumers love. Since people’s preferences vary from market to market, so do our products. This is reflected in the broad variety of sizes and flavors of products that we offer our consumers worldwide.

If you’re eating a Cadbury Crème Egg in the UK or Canada - nothing has changed, they’re the same size as ever. However, in the United States, our business partner, Hershey, elected to reduce the size of the crème egg.

Cadbury Eggs remain a consumer favorite and continue to be an excellent value. We apologize for any confusion or misleading information.
