I like to say “I keep it in a complex perpetual interplay of life and death”.
A Schroedinger’s plant, you could say.
It’s not a dead plant, it’s an art installation.
My basil plant was not able to keep up with demand.
It’s ferns for me. Not a single one has survived.
Ferns managed to outlive the dinosaurs and survived a fucking cataclysmic meteor

Multiple times! Different types of fern, different rooms, different ways of watering, levels of light, fertiliser, misting with water… it made me half mad. I had to ban myself from buying more.
