    Corruption in a justice system fucks up so much shit. But failing empires never take it seriously, and towards the end people just accept it as reality

    If the average citizen doesn’t have faith in the justice system, they don’t respect it, and more and more people just stop giving a fuck about society’s rules.

    It’s stops being a question of “is this wrong” and becomes “will I get punished”.

    And the people willing to do the shadiest shit, usually get the most power.

    I’m trying to picture a prison situation where having a gun would be a good plan, let alone having someone smuggle one in for you.
