I’ve read cotton absorbs sweat, whereas polyester repels it, so if I run I should get polyester underwear.

Is the difference very noticeable?

This is to wear with my leggings, because if I go commando my male bits turn to one side.

My understanding is that polyester and other sweat-wicking materials are better for preventing chafing and allow for faster drying, whereas cotton absorbs and stays wet, which is more abrasive.

For me, either the shorts with a liner work best or commando in leggings. I don’t particularly have issue with my bits moving, I just want them to stay put.

help me out here: when I first put on the leggings on commando before running, my male bits turn to one side, but as soon as I start running, they somehow reposition to the middle and stay put as long as I run and stretch. However, if I only walk, like after stretching on the way back home, they’ll tend to fall to one side.

      Does this happen to you?

Recently bought an affordable pair of running shorts from Old Navy of all places on a whim and really like them as they have a “compression boxer” built in. Pretty slick. I need to find a couple of more pairs before they stop making them.

I have some wool performance shirts (minus 33 woolverino) and I want to make the switch for environmental reasons, but they don’t seem to last as long as my polyester (some of which I’ve had for many years and still wear regularly).

I hate polyester. It stinks, and I hate the feeling of plastic against my skin. People say it breaths/wicks whatever. I’d wear wool if I was that worried about it. Cotton boxer-briefs are awesome for sports.

I personally like my bamboo sepratec dual pouch. Keeps cool, prevents chafing, and everything stays tucked nice in place. I don’t really have a choice though because they are the only kind I’ve found that keep my bum nards from aching.
