Seemingly some folks at AEW/WBD watched Punk’s interview with Ariel and have probably decided he talked a little bit too much. 👀

This Wednesday may be spicy.

SRS Speaking on it

[Young Bucks] Roll. The. Tape.

Dave Meltzer on X: AEW will be airing the Punk-Perry footage on Wednesday. We’ll discuss that on tonight’s show

Bryan Alvarez: Yes, Tony is airing the Punk/Jungle Boy footage on Wednesday. It’s not a bait and switch.

This is gonna be a bad look for AEW and TK, or the funniest scene of a 40+ year old bitchbaby having a fit that I’ve ever seen.

It could, and will be, both!

This is so fucking stupid, and yet, absolutely hilarious. Everyone is going to be covered in shit.

I wanna at least see Punk looking fucking horrible. I’ll be fine with AEW looking like pissy crybabies, its the wrestling business, every company I’ve watched since 1984 has had more that it’s fair share of time acting like a pissy crybaby, but I need to see Phil trying to throttle and choke a bitch so I can watch him pop on Ariels show next week going “Pfft you call that a choke??”

Another fun part, presuming that is what it shows, is that in the UK the police (well, strictly speaking the Crown Prosecution Service) choose whether to prosecute someone, not the victim, and choking is a mandatory referal, and can seek up to life imprisonment.

This offence requires a person to attempt to choke, suffocate or strangle any other person in order to render that person insensible, unconscious or incapable of resistance with intent to commit an indictable offence.

This is an indictable offence. If a person is found guilty on indictment, they are liable to a term not exceeding life imprisonment.

Section 21 Offences Against the Person Act 1861 – Attempting to choke, suffocate or strangle any other person in order to commit any indictable offence

        https://www.cps.gov.uk/legal-guidance/non-fatal-strangulation-or-non-fatal-suffocation

Now, do I think this would actually happen? No, of course not, the Met are fucked and have better things to do, but WWE / Punk would need to be absolutely certain he wouldn’t get picked up at the airport should they run events here.

Any before anyone says there is no chance of that happening should they bring changes, Ja Rule, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, and others, are currently banned from entering the UK. Although, Phil is white, sooooo.

They seem to always be in no win situations. They either look like bitches because Punks comments allude to then being Bush league along with all of the other petty WWE responses.

Or they drop the footage for people to make their own opinion and they look like crybabies because they just let Punk talk shit

I don’t know if I like AEW getting on that TNA-ass shit, but it should be interesting to watch at least.

If nothing else it’s gonna be one fun fucking chapter of an eventual Rise and Fall of AEW book and/or blu-ray release which will sit on my shelf.

Part of me is wondering why they’re even bothering. It’s not like Punk even comes off well in his own version of events.

Either the lawyers decided something Punk said violated NDA and now they wanna go nuclear and show him choking a mother fucker, or Punk got way under TK’s skin. Given how even WBD is like “oh yeah we’re doing this” and not shutting it down is why I’m so keen to see this video lol.

To me the only interesting part of this is that WBD are so keen on it; some folks are wondering if that’s because some part of non disclosure/disparagement might have been breached but you’d send in lawyers if that were the case. So really it just comes down to correcting Punk’s version of events and if it were me the only reason i’d be so keen to do so would be because the way he has portrayed it is so far from the truth that its reputation harming to leave it uncorrected.

Yeah, that is pretty interesting, especially since Punk’s version didn’t make him look very good.

The Snowman should listen to the snow queen and let it go. I’m half expecting a lawsuit to be filed before Dynamite at this point.

I find this to be petty and makes them look as bush league as Punk called them.

I saw some people claiming WBD is getting behind it… well, no shit, Dynamite has been under 800k viewers for a few weeks and they know Punk is never coming back, why not try something to bring some eyeballs back to the product?

Punk once called The Elite children… everyone involved in both altercations are now coming across as worse than children, IMO. I get wanting to get a shot in after Punk did his stupid interview, but holy fuck that showed him as a petty bitch, why do you want to be worse than him? I just don’t get it.
