The dropping price of solar and wind as these scale up in production has been staggering. You can look at https://www.ercot.com/gridmktinfo/dashboards/fuelmix to see the real-time power generation sources. Many days this year renewables are generating more than 50% of the power required. They also added “Power Storage” as a category recently with all the battery plants coming online mentioned in the article

I’m glad renewables made it past the chopping block this time at least.
