Same, not to mention all the subscription services went up so I’m canceling a lot lately.

I spent a good few hours last month just going through all the online subscriptions I don’t need. It came out to almost $200 a month. That shit can add up fast!

So true, it’s more than cable was costing me, but cables probably gone up too.

I was thinking of Spectrum for Dodgers games, but it sounds like they want to make that a separate package now… The worlds going to hell in a hand basket with monthly fees, I think I’m going back to the high seas at this point.

Amen. They had it working and then blew it to increase profits.

Taco Bell bean & cheeese burrito used to be 0.99 not too long ago. Now it’s 2.50. A box a oreos at the grocery store was 2.49, not its 6.49 (and thr package holds half the cookies now!) Crazy.

I understand things are cooling off. But that just means the prices won’t continue to rise so fast. The prices aren’t going to come down I don’t think.

The most frustrating thing is that there’s no reason for this. Yes, we’re seeing some inflation, but for some reason corporations decided that now was the good time to accelerate shrink-flation and price gouging. I’m so over it. I’m basically trying to replace everything that’s mass produced at this point because I’m tired of being taken advantage of. Everythings so expensive now that I can source groceries and goods locally for the same price. I hope more people do the same and it bankrupts all these shit mega corps.

If you’re looking for a hobby 3D printing is a pretty great way to take stuff into your own hands. Hydroponic towers, car parts, stuff around the house. The list really goes on with it, I just printed new tires for my Roomba, sure they’re only $10, but printing them cost me a few pennies.

You’re probably right, they realized the bump in profits and now none of them want to roll it back, the charade continues. There’s no real oversight, so until we stop buying they’ll keep raising prices and expect our problems will somehow even out for them.

I almost got away this year, but then my work took away 401k matching. There goes 3% :copium:

I would suggest you chew your ankle off, but most of us can’t afford dental, so that’s risky.

My Canadian buddy has been talking a lot about how ridiculous dental is up there. Said his dad spent 900 Canuck bucks to get his teeth cleaned for 30 minutes.

Now that’s a rip off, here it’s essentially someone brushing you teeth for you.

No kidding, and the fact people were starting to keep chickens in their backyards isn’t a great sign either.
