If you need to be delighted by something this morning, I present the tree goats of Morocco.

I was driving near Essaouira the first time I saw this and literally slammed on my brakes because I thought I was suddenly hallucinating. But then you learn how common it is and after a day or two it’s, oh, yeah, more goats in trees.

Goat trees are the worst. My neighbour had one and it hung over the fence and kept dropping goats into my garden.

As a Moroccan, I can confirm we grow all of our goat locally on goat trees

Goats are master climbers. In the alps we have the Ibex who likes to Spiderman its way around the mountains, damns, stone walls, etc.

They are often looking for salt, which seems to be some kind of goat drug.

First you need to grow an Argania. So yes if your backyard is a semi desert in harsh conditions with temperature up to 50° celsius.

It looks so bizarre. They are all just so casual about it.

I’ve always thought this was a really crazy thing when you consider paleontology.
Who would look at a goat skeleton and think, 'this animal probably climbs like nothing else ’
