Her intelligence, wit and humor. Her ability to almost immediately spot if a stranger is bad. The way she can find any lost item by looking for it for 5 seconds. How she solves any level sudoku by quickly filling out every number without hesitation. Her ability to elegantly decorate a room in ways I could never imagine beforehand.

I think I can imagine what kind of an individual you just described, more or less exactly, and I think you are very fortunate to have her.

That last part, husband says about me. We bought this house and it had a really awkward layout so hadn’t sold but I could see how it could be arranged, took out a couple of doors and moved some interior walls before we moved in and it’s awesome now. This sort of thing happens enough that he defers to me on decisions about how the house should look, says he can’t see it until we do it but I can.

That is how we do it. Some major purchases I get a small say in, like sofas. I’m forbidden from buying lamps. The rest is up to her. Sometimes she asks me to build stuff (I do woodworking in my spare time) but that’s it.

I have total aphantasia so I can’t imagine a circle, much less a room. I’m in awe of your abilities.

If the husband has a strong preference then we make it work, he wanted windows without the split panes, big picture windows, I had a weak preference for the more vintage ones we had but did want the storm rated efficient ones so when we got them he chose and they are great.

BTW, I am never sure if I’m actually visualizing like literal images in my mind, it’s not really like that, not seeing in a literal sense. Slightly different sense of knowing. I do dream visually usually though (like asleep and dreaming), literally see and hear things in dreams so know my mind can do it.

Public speaking ability. She was on speech and debate teams all through HS and college so she is utterly unbotherered speaking in front of a crowd. Once we were the best man and matron of honor at a wedding where the grooms had said they didn’t want us to give a speech, when the DJ double checked this the day of, they were clearly regretting the decision. She caught the DJ and told him to be ready for a toast in 15. She disappeared for 10 minutes, came back and gave a speech that literally had people in tears.

Meanwhile, I have threatened to leave a church if they insisted on making me read the pre written Sunday morning announcements.

Her nonexistence. I’m pretty jealous tbh.

Her incredible strength, empathy, integrity, loyalty and wit. Only topped by her gargantuan heart. And also her humor and…wait a second… Honey did you post this? 😁

She also has the heart of 10 people. She always looks out for family and friends who are less fortunate.

If we’re ignoring everything else you said, you are fortunate to have her, just based on that by itself. Also: my own housekeeping is abhorrent by default, and so I’m afraid I relate way too hard to the first part, “lol.”

The beautiful contrast between a smart stylish career-driven lady in public and a silly goofy smiley girlfriend the moment we’re alone :D

Her softest hugs and shiny eyes, her great taste in everything from clothing to anime, her strong will to improve, her gentle care - a lot of things at once.

I’ve never understood why so many people expect others’ behavior to remain completely consistent across every context imaginable, or call them some variation of “fake” following the demonstration of any literally any character trait not already revealed upon first impression, or what have you. This is an outstanding example of why I don’t get that. You’re describing a multifaceted person. She seems wonderful.

I like that my husband does his part in the housework without ever thinking it’s a big deal. I know it sounds like a small thing but it’s not. And while he is overweight he works out at least 5 days a week either lifting or yoga and always has, it’s a habit of 40 years now, he cares about his physical body and never questions my time taken to work out.

It took a long time to end up in a partnership where we are so much stronger together, we have different strengths and it’s like together we have everything covered.
