I’m Kibou, and recently joined Lemmy @ sh.itjust.works after Reddit announced their API changes. SkincareAddiction was one of my favorite subreddits, so I wanted to create a similar community here.

Please message me if you are interested in becoming a mod for this community! I do not have moderating experience and would greatly appreciate the help. If any mods from the r/SkincareAddiction subreddit see this, please let me know as I’d be glad to hand this community over to you.

Base rules for the community right now are the same as the instance this community is located at + keep posts on-topic to skincare. Thanks and I look forward to seeing this community grow!

    Thanks for making this community. I have been scouring the fediverse looking for all my old faves too. Unfortunately I too have no moderating experience but hang in there, the community will grow and someone will step in. (:

    I’m not interested in moderating here but I love skincareaddiction so I’m commenting give this post a bump in engagement

    Suggestion: look at the original reddit sub for inspiration and don’t stress yourself out about setting the community up quickly, people will understand that you’re human and can’t go at the pace of a machine

    If you want to have another popular that is currently in reddit I recommend creating /r/tressless, it’s like the male version of SkincareAddiction 🙄
