    In arbitrary order:

    1. Count of Monte Cristo

    2. Oldboy

    3. Django Unchained

    4. Once Upon a Time in the West

    5. Leon

    6. The Crow

    7. The Princess Bride

How could they write a list of the best revenge movies of all time and leave out Revenge, with Kevin Costner, and Payback, with Mel Gibson? Those are outstanding movies!

Without Oldboy on the list at all, I can’t take the site or the author seriously. None of those movies even come close to the horrifying revenge of Oldboy. It evokes a special kind of darkness that stays with you long after viewing.

To those in this thread who may not have seen it yet, make sure you watch the original Korean movie. The makers of the American version didn’t have the balls to get the story right.

That is part two of the Vengeance Trilogy. But I agree, they could have at least mentioned the most famous one.

I didn’t realize there was more to it… I’ll check out the others! Thanks!

Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance, Lady Vengeance, and a boxed set with all three are apparently unavailable in the US region. :( Everything I’m seeing is Region 2/Region B.

I found that movie very disturbing.

Wait. How can Lady Snowblood be second? If it inspired Kill Bill. No Snowblood no Kill Bill.
