In terms of the squad rebuild we’re currently going through, these would be the next two you’d want to replace, so this may just move the timeline up a bit (assuming we can find suitable replacements in short order).
The idea of giving Klopp a whole new midfield to work with is interesting. Though it can take time for players to mesh with his systems. Could be an opportunity for him to change the tactics. It would be less anxiety inducing if we knew that the owners were ready to step up and make the necessary investment. FSG have spent in the past but only when they had already budgeted for it.
