One of the joys of ST:SNW for me is sharing the experience with my kid, they way my mom shared TNG with me in the 80s/90s. And I grew up with micromachines and those 1-2 foot long ships (the ones with a few buttons that made noises and lit up), many of which are still in a bin in my mom’s basement.
When I go looking for something my kid could play with, all I can find are snap-together models. Fine, OK, but not the same as something he can fly through our living room making a warp speed wooosh sound. It’s really a shame they don’t have any good SNW ship toys. I’d buy some in a heartbeat.
You need to take this plea to a 3d printing community
Or . . . and hear me out on this . . . I could complain to a bunch of strangers on the internet and do nothing productive like that.
My B. I didn’t realize this was more of a “vent” than a “what should I do”.
Sometimes it isn’t about the nail and I can recognize that. It sucks you can’t find the toy you want for your kid. There used to be really solid starship toys. I had the Enterprise D, so I for sure understand how fun a properly sized starship is. I think it’s really cool that you want to be the same mother to your child that your mother was to you, and this must be frustrating.
Lol do they even make Star Trek toys anymore? I found the USS Vengeance sorting through Hot Wheels to grab for for my kiddos and picked it up for myself lol
It’s kinda sad that the “Prodigy” specific portal on that site has the ships and gear tabs listed as “Coming soon.”
I suspect things will, in fact, not be coming soon.
I would not recommend holding your breath.
The fact that these weren’t available when the first season ran is just another black mark in the lane history of Star Trek tie-in merchandising.
