This is a great looking owl found from southern India and China, down through Indonesia.

I didn’t know what it says for my sense of taste, but my girlfriend thought that pic was creepy too.

I think it looks very bashful and like it’s enjoying a nice breeze. Perhaps I’m just mad with social queues. 😅

It has a very mad scientist in the gusts of a storm look, I’d say

This looks like the inspiration for the newer version of nite owl from watchmen

It would be a great look for a non-satirical Nite Owl!

I do like the movie costume a lot though, even if it is (purposely) derivative.

I smile every time I think of his airship, Archie. It’s also great as an owl themed vehicle, yet it also looks like a potato, so it makes me chuckle to myself.

When I first saw the eyes they looked so very creepy. After realizing they were pretty eyelids it looks very sweet.

Ah, that makes sense. I didn’t think about it that way.

I’m glad it won you over in the end!

Another BFO! Why does it seem like every fish owl is named after something starting with B?

Yes, we got Blakiston, Brown, and Buffy…but there is also Tawny!

That’s it for the Ketupa genus, but if we go into the fish-ing owls of Scotopelia, we get the Pel’s, Roufus, and Vermiculated Fishing Owls!

      😆

They deserve it. It isn’t easy to get to where many of these owls live, and then once you get there, then you need to find them!

I’m sure there’s a good number of hours invested in each shot.

Being an owl is a busy job!
