Episode 1 was a pretty good first episode of the season, though I would’ve loved to see more of Kazuma trying to become a monk, and I look forward to see what Chris does with the money hammer in future episodes.
The first half of episode 2 was pretty funny with Darkness trying to get the group ready for the visit with Iris, but the rest of the episode was forgettable imo

Re read book 6 and 7 ready for this season so I had a better memory on what to expect this season.
Episode 1 was 90% anime original but the scene with the monster girl was actually meant to happen on their way to the Crimson Demon village in the movie iirc so was cool to finally see that get made. All the stuff with Kazuma’s PTSD over Sylvia was pretty entertaining.
Episode 2 got back on track to the source material and was pretty much how I expected it to play out. Enjoyed it overall. Now that we’re in the capital we can get to the real good stuff for this first half of the season :)

Loving it so far; the monster girl in episode 1 perfectly got me back into the swing of things, and the princess encounter had some excellent dialogue between Kazuma gets his hops up before asking for a new princess, Aqua don’t ng her party tricks (one of which was pretty successful), and Megumin being Megumin.
