Saw this on reddit. I still remain kind of skeptical but think all this is really interesting.
His comment that he has conversations where they’re all saying the public “can’t handle” whatever it is, is something I think about a lot.
With my cynacism i feel that we, the public, kind of are just cattle to the elites and super wealthy. Our purpose is to work and to buy stuff, which is the foundation to their wealth and power. Much better to keep us as dumb and ignorant as possible. Such a huge portion of the public is obsessed with celebrity gossip, sports, religious nonsense, etc.
A full disclosure that intelligent alien species exist and are here, would either be painful and debilitating to a large portion of people (fundamentalist religious people, the world over), or change other people to start thinking at a higher level other than just celebrity and sports shit, or how to get money to buy the next new gadget or token of status.
If people start thinking, we’ve been being lied to by those in power, what else is there? Why does Kim Kardashian deserve to be a billionaire, when millions of children die of starvation every year? Why does someone have to work 40hrs a week in a factory doing manual labor that could be easily automated by AI or robotics (because it’s cheaper for the human to do it), etc., etc.
My comment might be tangent from the UFO topic, but it’s what I think of why they don’t want to disclose, or at least a possibility.

Yes, one of a growing string of similar incidents in which we have been unable to identify or engage these unmanned vehicles. They are not even trying to conceal their presence, yet operate with impunity for weeks in restricted airspace, to the point fighters were relocated from Langley to other bases. If the Air Force can’t control the air over Langley how can they control the air over Washington? I encourage people to go to the War Zone’s website and search these terms, “Drones and Guam” or
“Drones and Colorado” or “Drones and Palo Verde” or “Drones and FAA or Arizona or Navy” and see what you find. Most people think drones are just a problem for countries overseas. Not true, we have a big problem here in the US and still no clue where these things are coming from or why.
My bet is the warning that the public can’t handle it is more a fear tactic to deter investigation. Assuming the speculation of compartmentalized programs contracted with private companies, there is a lot of financial motives along with potential illegal activity. The groups involved wouldn’t want the history of how they’ve operated over the years to come to light. And, most importantly, they want to maintain control over any potential knowledge or technology obtained. We’re talking about potential of 70+ years of information withheld from the public and being used by private companies for their own gains.
There would also be some level of change of public perception along the lines of what you suggest, but I think it’d start with focus on the government and the individual companies involved. I doubt there would be a lot of immediate shifts in the public perception. There will always be a large portion of the population that would ignore or deny any disclosure, so even the most jarring disclosure would take time to ingest.
Yeah honestly I think your idea here is much more probable. If the alien stuff is real, they’re going to want to be able to own it and profit from it, first and foremost. It makes some sense that if they still can’t figure it out or reverse engineer it (not unlikely right?), then continue to keep it secret until they have full control of it.
I keep thinking back to the removal of the eminent domain over non-human technology that was removed from the Schumer amendment. Why the hell remove it, or am i missing something? I feel like that should’ve gotten way more people taking this seriously. What are they trying to say, “we don’t have alien stuff now, but if we ever do get some in the future, we want to keep it!”. BS.
Also my cynical take on the public waking up from this is probably unlikely, at least short term, an if at all long term. Even if we got full disclosure, maybe a few weeks of headlines, water cooler conversations at the office, then back to normal. I think I just want something like this to wake the public up to things like wealth inequality and stuff but in actuality it probably wouldn’t.
This fuck head is MAGA, and he’s trying to use this as a platform for votes.
Fuck this motherfucker.
I think it’s fair to call out bad faith politics, but the current UAP push is bipartisan. I don’t care for any of his political stances outside what he’s aided with for UAP disclosure, but he’s helped a lot with bringing the topic to light.
I find it interesting that you think the topic is relevant enough to the public that this is the only reason he’s engaged. Do you believe the time he’s invested in this will get more people to vote for him? Personally, I would never vote for someone based on their stance on UAP, nor do I think it’d sway me if I was on the fence.
I agree with you in that I hate his politics. However, you have to recognize that what he’s saying about the UAP topic is inherently bipartisan. He’s said on multiple occasions that it’s not specifically about aliens, but about all the millions of dollars being spent on these SAPs that aren’t answerable to congress or the executive branch. This should be important to everyone.
But regardless, how is this going to get him votes anyway? Especially MAGA right wing votes? I feel like they mostly think the UAP stuff is stupid or don’t care or whatever, I just don’t see the connection how UAP disclosure would ever get him votes. Unless you think more moderate or left leaning people would turn and vote for him, solely because of what he’s doing on UAP disclosure? I find that hard to believe. Personally I could never vote for a republican like him no matter how much he supports UAP stuff.
Idk. I don’t like him but still think his comments on the topic are interesting. We don’t have much else to go on when it comes to the classified briefings they’re getting.
MAGA loves conspiracy theories. He’s playing to his base. When push comes to shove we’ll see if he’s all talk. So far he’s been the most outspoken, but when you have a platform to bring real awareness to something this critical it seems he’s content to play around the edges and accept the stonewalling. He has the ability to make it the national issue it should be. The public hearing yesterday was a joke. And they didn’t get anything in the SCIF? I’d be screaming at the top of my lungs “ We have stuff shutting down Air Force bases and they can’t stop them?” How is this threat to our mainland national security not the no 1 thing in the media?
